The Patriots continued their playoff preparations by utilizing their entire squad in defeating a determined and never tiring, Longwood opponent, 28 to 1.  Melville had 17 different players combine on 28 goals, supported by 23 assists.

Both Melville Attackmen Senior Matt Monfett (7 goals, 3 assists) and Junior Jon Matsui (6 goals, 4 assists) each had 10 points to lead the Patriots in scoring.

Longwood Midfielder Junior Sean Bumstead scored his team’s only goal at 5:17 of the 4^th quarter.

Hats off to the Longwood team who never gave up and competed throughout the entire contest.

The Patriots will host West Islip under the lights at 8pm, Friday, May 4^th, at home, in an important league game.
