The Ward Melville Patriots (7-2) defeated the Connetquot T-Birds 19-2 on a good effort from the 2^nd and 3^rd team players.   Coach Cuozzo was able to utilize much of his squad today, continuing his effort to gain valuable playing time for his young players in preparation for a playoff run.

The game opened with Senior Attackman Nick Searle (4 assists), who earned his first Varsity start, feeding Senior Midfielder John Salvesen (3 goals, 1 assist).  Offensively, the Patriots utilized 12 players to generate 19 goals on 18 assists.  Sophomore Attack-man Dave Schwartzberg had 5 goals on the day.  Junior Attack-man Jon Matsui was involved in 8 goals, scoring 4 goals and 4 assists for a total of 8 points. 

Defensively, the Senior Melville squad played well limiting the T-Birds to only 2 goals, with a good effort from the long poles and the goalkeepers Nick Gentilesco and Ricky Frued.
