would have to say my involvement with athletics, has had the most
influence in my life. I have played at least one sport and up to
four sports a year since I was three years old. I have experienced
being part of a team, and how important it is to work together to reach a
common goal. I have concluded that it takes commitment and
dedication to excel in athletics as well as academics. In order to
accomplish both, I have learned to properly manage my time and
responsibilities. I have acquired exceptional decision-making
skills.
I have been fortunate to be able to expand my love for sports to include programs such as: Peer Athletic Council Team, Students Helping and Reaching Peers, Peer medication, and being a Mentor and coach for the 5th and 6th grade Mount Sinai Lacrosse Program. I am a member of the National Honor Society and I have a 4.014 GPA. Sports have opened the door, and has taught me so many things, that I take with me into the classroom and beyond.
